Amazingly, Josh’s x-ray numbers turned out to be much better than we expected! The “faulty” disqualifying test has, for the second time, been proven wrong.
Here is the rundown in this order – faulty test (January 2006), current test (Sept. 2008), Air Force qualifying numbers:
Thoracic Spine: 5 degrees; 2 degrees; cannot exceed 20 degrees
Lumbar Spine: 9 degrees; 6 degrees; cannot exceed 20 degrees
Thoracic Kyphosis: no measurement; 32 degrees; cannot exceed 55 degrees
Lumbar Lordosis: 56 degrees; 34 degrees; cannot exceed 55 degrees
The reports have been submitted to the Air Force docs. We have a 3 to 30 day waiting period now to hear what they say.
