Word from the AF

The only “word” we’ve heard is they moved back the announcement date. It was set for the 18th, last Monday. Now it’s the 29th, a week from yesterday. Perhaps we’ll know something then. Or perhaps they will change their minds again. Happy Memorial Weekend!

AF Physical

Josh had his physical for the Air Force yesterday. It’s a first step in re-applying. Thankfully, everything checked out as he is still healthy and in good shape. His eyes also have not changed and he still has better than 20/20 vision, which is great for being a pilot.

X-ray Numbers

Amazingly, Josh’s x-ray numbers turned out to be much better than we expected! The “faulty” disqualifying test has, for the second time, been proven wrong. 
Here is the rundown in this order – faulty test (January 2006), current test (Sept. 2008), Air Force qualifying numbers:
Thoracic Spine: 5 degrees; 2 degrees; cannot exceed 20 degrees

Back X-Ray

This morning Josh is planning to have his back x-rayed; the third time in relation to his original military disqualifying x-ray.  He is visiting the same clinic that has done the previous two tests – one disqualifying him and one saying he was well within the clear zone.
